In the Fall of 1992, Ray started teaching at DeWitt Clinton High School.
It was also the year that David Leeming’s Biography of James Baldwin was published. David was one of Ray’s English professors at University of Connecticut where Ray graduated (as an English major) in 1982. Ray admired and studied the biography with pride as a young English teacher in the school where James Baldwin graduated with the class of 1942.
